The music industry has been thrown into mourning as news of the sudden demise of popular Ilorin-born musician Mukaila Senwele spread like wildfire. According to multiple reports, the singer passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Balogun Hospital, Ilorin, Kwara State capital.
Details of his death revealed that Mukaila Senwele was initially taken to Kwara State University Teaching Hospital (KWSUTH), Surulere, where the medical team decided to transfer him to Balogun Hospital in Eruda for further treatment due to the severity of his condition.
In a shocking twist, it was discovered that the late musician had posted on his Facebook page barely three hours before his demise, leaving his fans and loved ones in shock.
A family member who pleaded for anonymity disclosed that Mukaila Senwele did not show any signs of illness prior to his death. The family source revealed that the musician was with his fans throughout the day and had promised to visit the family house (Ile Esinrogunjo) later that night.
The source stated, “We just received an emergency call of his death where he lodged with his fans. On getting there, my elder brother (name withheld) together with some people tried to rush him to the hospital, unfortunately, we lost Mukaila to the cold hands of death.”
Mukaila Senwele’s Janazah has been scheduled for Saturday morning. The late musician hailed from the Esinrogunjo family compound in the Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State and was known for his unique style of entertainment and prowess.
