Controversial street-hop singer Portable has reacted strongly to the proposed celebrity boxing match against comedian and singer Carter Efe, raising the financial stakes far beyond the initial offer.
The drama began after music executive Soso Soberekon publicly pledged ₦50 million to Carter Efe during a recent visit to businessman E-Money’s residence. According to Soberekon, the money would only be paid if Carter Efe agreed to step into the boxing ring with Portable for a celebrity showdown.
Portable Rejects ₦50 Million Offer
Responding to the challenge, Portable made it clear that ₦50 million is not enough to get him into the ring. The self-styled “Zazuu” crooner insisted that the amount does not match his value or reputation in the entertainment industry.
Instead, he laid out new terms: ₦50 million in cash plus a luxury car worth ₦300 million. This would bring his total demand to ₦350 million before agreeing to fight Carter Efe.
Portable, known for his outspoken personality, confidently stated that he has already proven himself in previous celebrity boxing matches. He referenced his past bouts with Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington, claiming victory and warning that he should not be taken lightly.
Portable Boasts About Fighting Record
In his reaction, Portable expressed strong confidence in his fighting abilities, suggesting that anyone who steps into the ring with him should be prepared for serious consequences. He maintained that he is experienced and unafraid, emphasizing that he has handled similar challenges before.
The singer’s response has sparked mixed reactions online, with fans debating whether the proposed fight between Portable and Carter Efe will actually happen. While some supporters believe the increased financial demand may stall negotiations, others see it as typical showmanship aimed at building anticipation.
At this point, Carter Efe has yet to publicly respond to Portable’s new ₦350 million demand. It remains unclear whether Soso Soberekon or any sponsors are willing to meet the revised conditions.
Celebrity boxing matches have become increasingly popular in Nigeria’s entertainment scene, often generating buzz and social media engagement. If the deal goes through, a Portable vs. Carter Efe bout could attract massive attention.
For now, fans will be watching closely to see whether the financial negotiations progress—or if the proposed showdown ends before it even begins.
