The Nigerian entertainment industry has been hit with the sad news of the passing of veteran actor, Asa Koko. The news was shared by fellow actor, Kunle Afod, who posted a video on Instagram of his last visit to Asa Koko’s home.
In the video, Asa Koko is seen narrating his struggles with a long-term illness, which had kept him in the hospital for over two years. He showed Afod his swollen leg, thanking God for saving his life.
Afod, who had raised funds for Asa Koko’s treatment, used the opportunity to encourage young people to support elderly actors, reminding them that they too will grow old someday.
The news of Asa Koko’s passing has been met with an outpouring of condolences from fans and colleagues alike. Many have taken to social media to pay tribute to the late actor, praising his contributions to the Nigerian film industry.
This is not the first loss the industry has suffered in recent times. Just last week, comic singer Mukaila Senwele passed away, leaving fans and colleagues in shock.
