A National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member’s emotional reaction to her accommodation in Kebbi has gone viral. The young lady, who was posted to Kebbi for her service year, was visibly shaken when she saw the state of her living quarters.
In a video shared on social media, the corps member showed off the dilapidated house, which had damaged ceilings, tattered windows, and fading paint on the walls. She captioned the video, “The accommodation my PPA gave to me. Room and parlour self contain. I burst into tears on first sight.”
The corps member’s emotional response sparked a flurry of reactions online, with many people expressing sympathy and outrage over the deplorable state of the accommodation. Some even shared their own experiences of being posted to rural areas with substandard living conditions.
