Nollywood actress Funke Akindele is celebrating a major milestone as her movie “Everybody Loves Jenifer” has grossed over N1 billion at the box office.
The film, which is still showing in cinemas nationwide, achieved this feat just 19 days after its release. This breaks the record set by Funke Akindele’s previous movie, “A Tribe Called Judah,” which grossed N1 billion in December 2023.
“Everybody Loves Jenifer” has become the highest-grossing film produced and directed by Funke Akindele. It also holds the record for the top four highest-grossing Nollywood films of all time.
Funke Akindele took to Instagram to celebrate this achievement, sharing a video of herself and her cast dancing and expressing gratitude to fans for their support.
“GOD DID!!! Thank you Jenifans for supporting Everybody Loves Jenifa! We couldn’t have gotten here without you,” she wrote.
The movie’s success has sparked congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues, including Mo Abudu, Olayode Juliana, and Omowunmi Dada.
