Nigerian skitmaker and comedian Samuel Perry, popularly known as Broda Shaggi, recently revealed that he came close to losing his life before his birthday, which makes this year’s celebration particularly emotional.
Sharing his gratitude, Shaggi admitted that birthdays have never been something he focused on, often switching off his phone to avoid attention.
However, following his recent brush with death, he feels grateful for the chance to celebrate another year, reflecting on how some of his peers are no longer around to do the same.
He did not disclose specific details about the incident that threatened his life but expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to live on.
In his Instagram post, Shaggi acknowledged God’s grace in giving him another chance and celebrated with a photoshoot done just the night before. The comedian also encouraged his fans to listen to a special birthday song he composed for himself as a way of celebrating with him.
Several of his colleagues and fans, including celebrities like Kate Henshaw, Ckay, and Juliet Ibrahim, poured in their heartfelt birthday wishes, celebrating Shaggi’s resilience and talent.
