A woman has spoken out against men who abandon their children after DNA tests reveal they are not the biological fathers.
Davina Algorithm, a user on Facebook, shared her perspective in a post, highlighting the disparity in how men and women respond to such situations.
She pointed out that mothers tend to continue loving their children, even after discovering the child is not biologically connected to their husband. In contrast, men often withdraw their affection upon learning they are not the biological fathers, a reaction she believes reveals a lack of genuine love for the child.
Her post read:
“When a woman finds out that the child she bore for her husband isn’t biologically his, she still loves the child without hesitation.
But when a man finds out through DNA that the child isn’t his, he starts to distance himself.
This shows he only loved the child because he believed the child was his.
That’s why I advise women to ask an important question before marriage:
‘When we get married, do you promise to love any child I bring into this world?’”
