He recalled how, growing up, he assumed only politicians, oil tycoons, and wealthy businessmen (“G boys”) earned substantial amounts of money, while music was never considered a lucrative career.
However, Burna Boy’s own success has defied those expectations. He proudly announced that he now has more wealth than 90% of the individuals he once admired as financial achievers.
Using his story as inspiration, Burna Boy encouraged his fans to never underestimate others, emphasizing that anyone could achieve greatness, citing Elon Musk as an example.
“Growing up, I thought only politicians and oil men made real money, followed by the G boys. Music wasn’t even considered. But now, I, an ‘ugly black musician from Port Harcourt,’ have surpassed 90% of those I looked up to. Never count anyone out; they could be the next Elon Musk.”
