In a recent chat on Chude Jidenwo’s show, oWithChude, Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe shared some surprising details about his career journey and personal life. He revealed that he was unexpectedly let go from his job at Etisalat and faced a challenging period where he earned just N2,000 for movie roles.
Arukwe admitted that quitting his corporate job in 2012 was a tough decision and one of the hardest times in his life. He was out of work for over a year, from November 2012 to December 2013, but kept this struggle hidden from his family.
He also shared that while he’s now happily married with children, he keeps his personal life private to shield his family from public scrutiny. This approach helps him maintain his sanity and keep his loved ones out of the spotlight, similar to other respected actors he looks up to.
