On Friday, August 9, a plane departing from Cascavel airport in Parana, bound for Sao Paulo, tragically crashed in a residential area.
According to the Associated Press, the aircraft, operated by VoePass airline, had 58 passengers and four crew members on board at the time of the crash.
Al Jazeera reported that the impact affected only a single residence within a housing complex on the outskirts of Sao Paulo, with no injuries reported among the residents.
A video circulating on social media shows the plane spiraling downward before crashing, leading to a large fire. Black smoke could be seen rising from the aircraft’s fuselage near the affected residences.
