Anticipation is growing as Afrobeat star Davido reveals the release date for his much-awaited collaboration with Grammy Award-winning artist Angelique Kidjo.
Davido shared his excitement on social media, expressing how honored he felt to work with the iconic Beninese-French singer-songwriter on their new track, “JOY,” set to drop on Friday, August 30th.
He wrote: “It was an honor working with the legend @angeliquekidjo on JOY. Dropping Friday ☀️❤️”
Angelique Kidjo highlighted that the song embodies her essence and expressed her gratitude to Davido for his contribution to their successful partnership.
She stated: “🌞This song JOY is who I am!🌞 Coming out this Friday, thank you @davido for bringing your LIGHT! 🙏🏿 No one could have done it better ❤️ We hope this song can bring the world together for a moment of JOY!”
This collaboration isn’t their first; Davido previously teamed up with the 64-year-old singer on his hit track, “Na Money,” featuring The Cavemen.
