In an eye-opening revelation, Prophet Israel Ogundipe, the founder of Genesis Global Ministry in Lagos, recently shared a surprising offer he received from a major bank in Nigeria.
The popular Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) leader disclosed during a conversation with well-known On-Air Personality Ifedayo Olarinde, also known as Daddy Freeze, that he was approached by the bank with a proposal to loan him a staggering N1 billion to expand his ministry.
During the interview, which took place on Tuesday, Ogundipe revealed that the unnamed bank approached him two months ago with the substantial loan offer. According to the prophet, the bank was confident in his ministry’s ability to repay the loan, noting the growing size and influence of Genesis Global Ministry. The bank even shared with him that several other churches had taken out similar loans, with amounts ranging from N3 billion to N4 billion.
“A bank called me two months ago and said they wish to loan me N1 billion. They offered me the loan, and I asked them what for. They replied that they know churches are getting it [the loan], and I would be able to pay it back because they know my church is big,” Ogundipe recounted.
The prophet went on to explain that the bank suggested the loan could be repaid through the proceeds generated from church activities such as revivals, crusades, and conferences.
