Prophet Ebuka Obi, the founder of Zion Ministry, has finally broken his silence on the controversy surrounding a viral video featuring a woman who allegedly gave a false testimony at his church.
The drama unfolded when a video surfaced online showing the woman testifying before the congregation at Zion Ministry. She claimed to have miraculously acquired a N500 million mansion in Lekki, Lagos, despite having only N300,000 worth of goods in her shop.
However, another video soon emerged, showing the woman being interrogated and admitting that her testimony was staged. It was revealed that she’s actually from Enugu, not Lagos.
Prophet Ebuka Obi took to social media to address the controversy, emphasizing that his ministry does not condone fake testimonies or deceit. He stated that Zion Ministry operates with a spirit that is “too real to be fake” and that he himself is genuine, having dedicated his life to Christ.
Obi explained that on Sundays and Wednesdays, around 50 people share testimonies in the ministry. He admitted that he was on the altar when the woman shared her testimony and that he even used it as a prayer point for the congregation.
However, after two Zion media members sent him a video indicating that the woman was not the actual owner of the house, Obi assured that the ministry would investigate the situation thoroughly. If it’s found that she lied, he stated that they would take action to ensure she faces the consequences.
