To celebrate her birthday on October 29, 2024, comedian Anita Asuoha, popularly known as Warri Pikin, wrote a touching letter to her younger self. Sharing an old photo on Instagram, Warri Pikin addressed the fears and anxieties of her younger self.
In the letter, she reassured her younger self that the fears were merely stepping stones. Warri Pikin reflected on her growth, becoming a wife, mother, fighter, and superstar. She acknowledged that mistakes shaped her into the person she is today, and expressed love and excitement for the woman she has become.
The heartfelt letter read:
“Dear Little Anita,
I see you—that anxious tomboy with so many fears. I wish I could tell you then that all those fears were just stepping stones.
Look at me now—a wife, a mother, a fighter, and a superstar! I am still growing; I am still glowing.
Those mistakes you’re so afraid of making? They’ve shaped me into someone I’m deeply proud of.
You did everything you said you would and so much more!
I’m in love with the woman you are today and excited about who you are becoming.
Keep pushing, little one. Your story is still unfolding.”
