Content creator King Mitchy has spoken out about social commentator VeryDarkMan, calling on him to address growing concerns surrounding funds donated by Nigerians for his NGO project.

In 2024, supporters reportedly contributed more than ₦350 million to support VeryDarkMan’s initiative, which was said to focus on renovating schools and improving learning conditions for children in underserved communities.

However, nearly two years later, questions are being raised about how the funds are being utilized.

In a recent statement, King Mitchy made it clear that her comments are not driven by personal dislike. Instead, she emphasized that transparency and accountability are important when large sums of public donations are involved.

According to her, many Nigerians who contributed to the cause deserve clear updates and visible progress on the proposed school renovation projects.

She expressed concern that there has been little public evidence showing that renovation work has begun, alleging that the donated money may still be sitting in a bank account without being deployed for its intended purpose.

King Mitchy also questioned why VeryDarkMan appears to be focusing heavily on trending gossip and online commentary, rather than prioritizing the educational projects supporters believed they were funding.

Highlighting the urgency of the situation, she noted that many public schools across Nigeria remain in poor condition, with damaged buildings, inadequate facilities, and unsafe learning environments. She urged VeryDarkMan to shift attention back to the core mission of the NGO and provide clarity on the next steps.

In a show of willingness to collaborate, King Mitchy offered to help identify communities and schools in need of renovation. She stated that if assistance is required in locating affected areas, she would be ready to support the process to ensure the funds make a real impact.

The situation has sparked conversations online, with many Nigerians calling for greater transparency in charitable initiatives. As public donations continue to play a significant role in funding community projects, accountability remains a key expectation from those entrusted with managing such resources.

Observers say a detailed breakdown of how the ₦350 million will be spent  along with timelines and project updates  could help restore confidence and reassure supporters that their contributions will lead to meaningful change in Nigeria’s education sector.

Just in: “VeryDarkMan I don’t dislike you, all I am saying is you need to get to work, you have held Hundreds of Millions Nigerians donated to you inside your bank account for almost 2years now and you keep making contents on trendy gossips instead of renovating schools” – Mitchy pic.twitter.com/DM8285K9ys
