Nigerian comedian Sabinus has called out a blogger who posted false news about him, causing damage to his reputation.
The blogger, who claimed to be a fan of Sabinus, reached out to him via message, apologizing for the hurtful post and begging for forgiveness.
In the conversation, the blogger admitted that he had posted the false news just to get attention, stating that he was a fan of Sabinus and loved his content.
Sabinus, however, was not having it. He expressed his disappointment and sadness at the rate at which bloggers were defaming and blackmailing people to get attention.
He stated that celebrities are human beings too and deserve respect, adding that bloggers should provide evidence to support their claims before posting.
Sabinus shared the conversation on his Facebook page, saying, “The rate at which blogger condemns, tarnishes, disfigure, defames, slanders, and blackmails to get massive attention nowadays is highly alarming, and I think it’s high time it stopped!!!”
This incident comes amid rumors of Sabinus’ marriage crisis. It was reported that his marriage to his wife, Ciana, had crashed due to his infidelity and irresponsibility.
The couple has since unfollowed each other on social media, fueling speculation about their marital status.
