A popular influencer has started a crowdfunding campaign to help raise ₦2.5 million in ransom to secure the release of a University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) graduate, Rhoda, who was kidnapped while traveling to Port Harcourt for her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
The influencer shared the news on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), including an image of the victim and appealing to the public for urgent support. He expressed concern about the limited time available to ensure her release.
“Rhoda, a graduate of UNILORIN, was kidnapped on her way to Port Harcourt for NYSC. The kidnappers are asking for ₦2.5 million,” the influencer wrote. “I don’t know how much time we have left, but I trust we can pull this off. Here is her father’s number. Raise am”
