A Nigerian man, widely known as Dr. H2O, who gained fame for his innovative promotion of Aquafina table water, has reportedly lost an ₦8 million business venture that Aquafina set up for him after his viral video gained attention.

In a new video making rounds online, Dr. H2O shared his story during an interview with a media influencer. He expressed his frustration, stating that he had lost everything. When asked for specifics, he confirmed that although the business Aquafina funded was legitimate, things did not go as planned. He attributed his business failure to a spiritual attack, explaining that the total cost of setting up the business, including a generator and freezer, amounted to ₦8 million, but the shop is now empty.

Dr. H2O mentioned that from the beginning, he faced several challenges, which he brought to the attention of the supervisor to prevent further issues. One of the major difficulties was his inability to account for the business’s profits. He believed this was due to spiritual forces working against him, rather than theft or mismanagement. He also recounted a leg injury that mysteriously developed soon after the business started, as well as an unsettling incident where a gun was pointed at him, though no money was taken.

When questioned about how the ₦8 million worth of products disappeared, Dr. H2O admitted that he couldn’t explain the situation and was just as confused as others asking the same question. He acknowledged purchasing land worth over ₦1 million, which was his only remaining asset. However, despite selling goods from the business, he was never able to account for the money, once again attributing it to spiritual interference.

Although some speculated theft, Dr. H2O strongly denied it, insisting that spiritual forces were behind the losses. He confirmed that he had informed Aquafina but had not yet received a response. In the interview, he pleaded for a second chance to prove himself, revealing that he had employed his sister and another individual from his village to assist with the business. He expressed deep regret and shame over the failure, admitting that he has not been able to work since and would prefer a paid job moving forward. He also mentioned that the failure has deeply affected his well-being, often leaving him without an appetite due to the stress.

The situation surrounding Dr. H2O highlights the complexities that can arise when personal beliefs intersect with business ventures. While some may view his explanations with skepticism, his story serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of entrepreneurship, where a variety of factors—both seen and unseen—can impact success.
