Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Face or 2Baba, has openly admitted that he has fallen short in his responsibilities as a father.
The award-winning singer made this revelation during a recent episode of the Mic On podcast hosted by journalist Seun Okinbaloye.
Speaking candidly on the show, 2Baba said he is not proud of his past efforts as a parent and believes he can do much better.
According to him, being an active and present father plays a major role in shaping a child’s life, and it is something he now takes more seriously.
Beyond fatherhood, the music legend also spoke about his desire to make a positive impact on society. He explained that he wants to be remembered as someone who contributed meaningfully, no matter how small, to the growth and well-being of others.
However, he emphasized that despite being a public figure, he values privacy and prefers to keep certain aspects of his personal life out of the spotlight.
“I want to contribute positively to society and be among those who make meaningful things happen. I know I haven’t been the best daddy, and I want to do more. At the same time, privacy is very important to me,” he said.
2Face is a father of eight children from four different women. He has two children with Sumbo Ajaba-Adeoye, three with Pero Adeniyi, two with his ex-wife Annie Macaulay, and one child with his current wife, Natasha Osawaru.
