A Nigerian mother’s heartbreaking story has surfaced online, revealing how her children abandoned her due to her inability to send them to school.
The woman, who now sleeps under a bridge and bathes in the bush, shared her struggles on X (formerly Twitter). She expressed her pain and disappointment, stating that her children, especially her first son, have turned their backs on her.
According to her, her first son, whom she described as “wicked,” has refused to take care of her or even answer her calls despite her repeated attempts to reach him.
When asked why her children had abandoned her, she revealed that they blamed her for not sending them to school. She explained that there was no money at the time, and she had to prioritize their basic needs.

In her words, “My children are wicked, especially the first one, a male. He abandoned me after building his house. If you want to call him, I can give you his number.”
“I called one of them to ask why, and he said it was because I didn’t send him to school. I told him there was no money at the time.”
“I’ve been sleeping here under the rain for four years. This is where I’ve been staying. I bathe in the bush.”
