Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has revealed that he is ready to put his ongoing dispute with fellow rapper Blaqbonez behind him — but only under one condition: a direct and sincere apology.
Speaking during a recent podcast interview with Pulse Nigeria, the “Wotowoto” hitmaker made it clear that while he believes in forgiveness, reconciliation must come from genuine remorse.
“The Issue Is Personal, Not Just Rap”
According to Odumodublvck, the conflict between him and Blaqbonez goes deeper than music. Although many fans have viewed their tension as a typical hip-hop rivalry fueled by diss tracks, the rapper insists the matter is personal.
He accused Blaqbonez of trying to downplay the seriousness of the situation by framing it as a rap battle. Odumodublvck explained that their disagreement, which began last year, cannot simply be brushed off as lyrical competition.
Forgiveness Is Possible — With a Contrite Heart
Despite the tension, Odumodublvck emphasized that he is not against reconciliation. He referenced his Christian faith, stating that he believes in forgiveness. However, he maintained that forgiveness can only happen when the offender shows genuine humility.
The rapper expressed frustration that instead of reaching out directly, Blaqbonez allegedly sent respected figures in the music industry to mediate on his behalf. According to Odumodublvck, a real resolution requires a personal apology — not third-party intervention.
He also addressed concerns that an apology might be made public, saying he would never expose someone who privately seeks forgiveness. In his view, true maturity lies in owning up to one’s mistakes.
Fans React to Ongoing Tension
The situation has sparked mixed reactions among fans, with some hoping the two rappers will settle their differences and collaborate in the future. Others see the feud as part of the competitive nature of the Nigerian hip-hop scene.
As of now, Blaqbonez has not publicly responded to Odumodublvck’s latest comments.
