Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has once again proven her dominance in the Nigerian film industry with her latest movie, ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’. The highly anticipated film shattered box office records, raking in an impressive N45 million on its opening day.
According to the Nigerian Box Office, ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ drew in over 9,000 admissions, surpassing the opening day record of Akindele’s previous movie, ‘A Tribe Called Judah’. The film’s impressive debut solidifies Akindele’s reputation as a box office queen.
The movie, which features an ensemble cast including Nancy Isime, Bisola Aiyeola, and Stan Nze, was released in cinemas on Friday, December 13. With its record-breaking opening day, ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ is poised to become one of the highest-grossing Nollywood films of the year.
