In his heartfelt caption, he celebrated his mother and shared that he had finally fulfilled a promise he made years ago. He recounted a poignant memory from his childhood when he returned home from school to find that his parents had been evicted. It was this moment that inspired him to change their situation.
Flowerboy’s Message After Fulfilling His Promise to His Mother
He wrote: “Congratulations to my mum, the latest landlady. I kept my promise. I remember coming back from school feeling sad. I couldn’t play that day at school, and I didn’t know why. When I got home, running under that heavy rain, I rushed to my uncle’s house. I saw my parents standing outside with their belongings, and my mom was crying. When she saw me and my younger brother, she burst into more tears.
“I was confused at first, but then I understood. This was not our house. My dad had shown me an uncompleted building two weeks earlier and told me, ‘This is not our house.’ He shared how he struggled with smoking and other issues, and they ended up staying at my uncle’s place. I was young, but I listened closely. My father and mother had been forced out of their home. Seeing my mom cry, I promised God and myself that I would change our circumstances.”
