Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina, a model of Nigerian and Mozambican descent, has announced her participation in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant.
This follows her withdrawal from the Miss South Africa 2024 contest amid questions about her nationality.
Adetshina, a former Top 11 Finalist in the South African competition, was invited to join the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant after her departure.
Adetshina had withdrawn from the Miss South Africa 2024 contest due to allegations by the South African Department of Home Affairs concerning her mother’s possible involvement in fraud and identity theft.
In a recent video, Adetshina confirmed her acceptance of the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 invitation, sharing her excitement about competing in the esteemed pageant.
“I have decided to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 beauty pageant… I am looking forward to participating in Africa’s most prestigious beauty pageant – Miss Universe Nigeria,” she said.
