In honor of the release of his album “African Giant,” which is becoming five years old, Burna Boy will be performing live as part of YouTube Music Nights.
Fans from all over the world will be able to watch the event, which is scheduled for July 26, 2024, live on Burna Boy’s YouTube page.
In honor of Burna Boy’s record “African Giant’s” milestone, Addy Awofisayo, Head of Music at YouTube in Africa, expressed excitement about having him perform on YouTube Music Nights.
He wrote:
“We are thrilled to present Burna Boy on YouTube Music Nights, celebrating his 5th anniversary of the groundbreaking album, African Giant.”
Burna Boy expressed his excitement for the forthcoming performance, saying that it has been an incredible experience for him to commemorate “African Giant’s” fifth anniversary with help from YouTube Music.
He continued by describing how the record is particularly meaningful to him, representing African pride and a turning moment in his career.
“Celebrating the 5th anniversary of ‘African Giant’ with a special performance in London, supported by YouTube Music, has been an incredible experience.
“This album holds a special place in my heart as it represents a pivotal moment in my career and a powerful statement of African pride” he wrote
Being the first African artist to sell out London Stadium twice, Burna Boy has become quite well-known in the industry.
The stadium, which can hold between 60,000 and 80,000 people depending on the occasion, was nearly full with excited spectators ready to see Burna Boy perform.
This incredible accomplishment is a part of his current world tour, which began with the release of his highly regarded album “I Told Them,” which has been creating waves all over the world.
