Afrobeats artist Ahmed Ololade, widely recognized as Asake, has shared that Grammy-winning Wizkid is a major source of inspiration for him.
He revealed this while celebrating their recent collaboration on his third studio album, ‘Lungu Boy.’
In addition to their collaborative track, ‘MMS’, on the album, Asake disclosed his long-standing desire to work with Wizkid. He expressed this enthusiasm in a recent statement, saying:
“It’s no secret that Wizkid is one of my music inspirations. As a young striving artiste in Lagos, I’ve been waiting for that right song so when the opportunity came it was a no brainer.
“‘MMS’ stands for ‘Mr Money Sound’ and it explains my music journey.”
