In her own words, she recalls:
“I don’t know if the title should be ‘How I Got Married to My Account Officer.’ Basically, it was during my NYSC. I was at camp and needed my BVN to open an account. As you all know, during NYSC, we need to open an account for the government to pay our salary.”
She continues, “I needed to open an account but didn’t have my BVN, so I remembered I had a friend in the bank who used to help me with my school fees when I was in school. I called him and asked, ‘Please, can I get my BVN? I can’t remember it.’”
Her friend gave her the contact of the bank manager, who turned out to be her account officer. After explaining her situation, he agreed to help her and promised to send the BVN.
“The first time I heard his voice on the phone, I thought, ‘Ah, this guy has a very nice voice.’ I wanted to go crazy. In my mind, I was thinking, ‘Can I keep talking to him?’”
