Nigerian radio presenter and actor Omotunde Adebowale David, better known as Lolo 1, has shared insights into the reasons many women choose body enhancement.
On her podcast “Say My Piece” with comedian Ogbolor, Lolo1 discussed the growing trend of women opting for cosmetic surgery.
She confessed that, if she could afford it, she would have considered surgery to reduce her breast size.
The single mother of one shared her experiences of being harassed during her youth due to having larger breasts than her peers, which led to unwanted attention and sexualization.
Lolo1 emphasized that many women who undergo body modification are often dealing with insecurity and trauma. She also acknowledged that men play a significant role in influencing these decisions.
“Body enhancement has become quite commonplace. If I had been able to afford it, I would have opted for breast reduction when I was younger. I had larger breasts than other girls my age, which led to unwanted attention and sexualization. The negative attention I received was overwhelming,” she said.
