Nigerian artist Anthony Ebuka Victor, better known as Victony, credits his hit track “Soweto” for his career breakthrough.
He revealed that the song significantly altered the course of his life in a recent Sound City interview.
As Victony shared:
“‘Soweto’ changed my life. It changed my life in the sense that I was able to travelled to places I didn’t believe that I would get to in a very short time.
“The song was already successful in late 2022, and in 2023, we wanted to maintain that success so we employed Don Toliver and Rema on the remix. They’re very big names and their sounds are not far from what ‘Soweto’ sound like.”
