Popular Nigerian content creator and singer Carter Efe has shared a deeply personal story about his upbringing, shedding light on the struggles his family faced after the loss of his father.

Speaking candidly, Carter revealed that his father, who was a police sergeant, passed away in 2015 while he was still in Junior Secondary School (JSS 3). According to the entertainer, many people were unaware of this painful chapter of his life.

Carter explained that his late father earned about ₦50,000 monthly at the time, an amount he now reflects on with amazement. Looking back, he often wonders how his father managed to provide for the family despite the financial limitations.

“My father passed away in 2015 when I was in JSS 3, but many people didn’t know. He was a police sergeant earning ₦50,000 then. Sometimes I still wonder how he was able to take care of all of us with that salary,” Carter Efe shared.
