Social media has been thrown into controversy following a viral post that accused YBNL boss, Olamide, of having a sexual relationship with his signee, Fireboy DML.
The allegation was made by an X (formerly Twitter) user identified as @hakeemrsn, popularly known as Rarelyseen. In a now-viral tweet, the user wrote in Pidgin:
Olamide don use fvck sp0il this boy life finish 😂💔”
The post was made in response to a celebratory tweet by @thedebuthub, which highlighted Fireboy DML’s impressive rise in the Nigerian music industry, accompanied by photos and emojis praising the singer’s success.

When another X user asked if the allegation was true, Rarelyseen replied with a blunt “yes”, further fueling the controversy.
The situation escalated when someone questioned why Fireboy DML appears “feminine.” Rarelyseen responded with another provocative comment implying abuse, a statement many users described as offensive and reckless.
It is important to note that these claims remain completely unverified. Neither Olamide nor Fireboy DML has ever confirmed being in a homosexual relationship or engaging in any inappropriate conduct.
Publicly, both artists have focused strictly on their careers. Olamide is widely recognized as Fireboy’s mentor and label boss, having played a key role in shaping the singer’s successful music journey under YBNL.
Fireboy DML has also spoken openly in past interviews about dating women, describing his love life as “chaotic” but clearly affirming his romantic relationships with women.
Social Media Rumors and Their Impact
Allegations like these often surface online as trolling, clout-chasing, or character attacks, especially against high-profile figures in the entertainment industry. Unfortunately, such rumors can spread rapidly and cause serious damage to reputations built over years of hard work.
Without credible evidence or official statements from the individuals involved, the claims remain baseless gossip.
