The Ogun State Government has strongly condemned singer Portable for allegedly attacking officials from the Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority. Portable is currently on the run and faces accusations of assaulting three town planners while they were performing their duties.
The incident occurred at Portable’s bar in Iyana Ilogbo, Ota, where he allegedly employed miscreants to attack the officials. Nine of his associates have been arrested and charged with various offenses, including assault and obstructing government officials. They have been granted bail at N5 million each.
Governor Dapo Abiodun has described Portable as a “serial dissident” known for criticizing government officials. The governor emphasized that his administration will uphold law and order and will not tolerate such behavior.
Portable has been asked to surrender as investigations continue. The government has vowed to make him face the full wrath of the law, regardless of his social status and influence.
