Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has responded fiercely to Naira Marley after he shared screenshots of their conversation on social media. The leaked chat seemed to contradict Iyabo Ojo’s earlier claim that she had no involvement with the singer.
However, Iyabo Ojo has now released more photos of their conversation, which she says were limited to her promoting Naira Marley’s music and other artists on her TikTok platform. According to her, their discussion was centered around her support for emerging artists, including Naira Marley, whom she promoted in 2020.
Iyabo Ojo also claimed that Naira Marley initially contacted her through her son, Festus Ojo. She then invited him to her movie premiere and mother’s burial ceremony.
The actress emphasized that her issue with Naira Marley stems from his alleged inaction in the face of bullying claims against his friend, Sam Larry, who was accused of threatening the late artist Mohbad. Iyabo Ojo asserted that she never accused Naira Marley of killing Mohbad but questioned his silence on the matter.
In a strong statement, Iyabo Ojo declared that she will not remain silent in the face of injustice, even if it involves someone she has interacted with in the past. She vowed to continue fighting for justice for Mohbad and his family.
