Mr. Nigeria Ugo Nwokolo has weighed in on why DJ Cuppy, the daughter of billionaire Femi Otedola, is still unmarried. In a recent interview on the Honest Bunch Podcast, Ugo shared his opinion on the matter.
According to Ugo, DJ Cuppy is holding out for someone of the same social status as her. He believes that she is looking for a man who can match her wealth and status, rather than considering someone from a lower social rung.
Ugo’s comments sparked a lively debate, with some people agreeing with his assessment and others disagreeing. However, Ugo stood by his words, stating that DJ Cuppy’s mentality is not unique to her, but rather a common mindset among women from wealthy backgrounds.
In his words, “DJ Cuppy, personally, I feel she isn’t ready to get married because if she is, there is one thing she needs to do, let her go through her DM across all social media platforms. She is going to see at least tens of thousands of DMS from men. All of the men in her DMs can’t all be gold diggers; at least from that ten thousand DMs, there must be one, two, or three men with genuine intentions who love her for who she is. But she is looking for someone of the same social status as her. That’s the wrong mentality I want to correct. That’s where my advocacy comes in. As a woman, if you are comfortable enough, please go for men who are of lower social status”.
He advised women to be more open-minded when it comes to choosing a partner, suggesting that they should consider men from all walks of life, rather than just those from their own social circle.
