The event, scheduled for January 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C., aims to bring together global Christian leaders, policymakers, and worshippers for a moment of reflection, intercession, and unity.
Bassey shared the news on Instagram, saying, “Let’s raise a sound in America. And let the King of Glory come in. See you. 20th January, 2025.” He also clarified that the Presidential Prayer Breakfast is a non-official and non-governmental event, focusing on intercessory prayers and worship for the office of the president and the government.
However, not everyone is pleased with Bassey’s decision to participate in the event. Some critics have expressed their disappointment, with one user even calling it “a disgusting betrayal of everything Christianity”.
