Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, have brought joy and hope to the Rumudara community in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, through a generous act of charity. On December 30, 2024, the couple’s Mercy Is Blessed Foundation distributed essential items, including food, clothing, and cash gifts, to uplift the lives of community members.
The foundation, an outreach arm of Mercy Chinwo’s music label, aimed to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the elderly, single mothers, and disadvantaged residents. Pastor Uzochikwa emphasized that the foundation’s work goes beyond providing temporary relief, focusing on empowering recipients to achieve sustainable livelihoods.
“The goal is not just giving them food items but empowering and establishing them to have sustainable means of income,” he said. The couple’s selfless act has brought smiles to many faces.
