This apparent oversight sparked a heated exchange online. The boy’s mother expressed her frustration, accusing her ex-partner and his current partner of treating her child unfairly. She wrote:
“If you think this changes anything, you’re just as delusional. LAST MINUTE OR NOT, YOU KNEW THE PICS WERE BOOKED. YOU KNEW HE WAS COMING OVER. WRONG IS WRONG.”

In response, the stepmother defended herself, claiming the boy was not intentionally excluded. She said:
