Toyin Abraham’s recent Instagram post celebrating her film Alakada Bad and Boujee’s record-breaking success has sparked mixed reactions. The movie raked in over 50 million naira at the box office, surpassing her previous records.
In her post, Abraham thanked her fans for their support, subtly shading those who offer gifts to fans at cinemas. Although she didn’t mention names, actresses Funke Akindele and Mercy Aigbe have been known to do so.
However, netizens called out Abraham for hypocrisy, pointing out that she had done similar promotions in the past. One user wrote, “Without expecting gift and inducement yet u did d same last year. Women and envy are 5 and 6.” Another user added, “You always have a way of throwing shades… later you’ll start writing yeye epistle.”
