Comedian Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has sparked controversy in the Nigerian movie industry with his recent revelations about Netflix’s exit from the market. In an interview with Arise TV, Basketmouth accused some Nollywood producers, including Kunle Afolayan, Bolanle Austen-Peters and Femi Adebayo, of mismanaging funds provided by Netflix.

According to Basketmouth, Netflix invested heavily in Nigerian movie production, providing $1.5 million to producers. However, he claims that only 10% of the funds were used for actual movie production, while the rest was spent on personal gain, including buying houses and cars.
