A young woman recently shared a painful memory from five years ago, recalling an experience where her pastor publicly prophesied that she would not be able to pursue higher education but would instead become pregnant.
In a TikTok video, she recounted how, during a church service, her pastor called her to the altar along with several others. In front of the congregation, he announced that she would be among those who wouldn’t attend school, implying she’d end up pregnant instead.
Reflecting on the incident, she described feeling heartbroken. “I went home and cried; my family cried with me. We even prayed fervently for that prophecy not to come true. I was in so much pain. Some parents in our community even warned their children to avoid me, fearing I could be a negative influence.”
Years later, however, her reality proved the prophecy wrong. Proudly displaying her NYSC certificate, she celebrated her journey through university, expressing gratitude for her achievements. “All I want to say is thank you, Jesus,” she declared, showing relief and joy for defying the prediction.
